BOCA RATON, FL – December 9, 2024 - Her 2nd Chance, Inc. (H2C), a nonprofit social enterprise dedicated to helping women in recovery from substance use by offering employment opportunities in a safe and supportive environment, is proud to announce the generous support from the Pulte Family Charitable Foundation (PFCF), which includes a $10,000 donation and a $30,000 grant. The contributions will help expand employment opportunities and support programs for these women as they work diligently to rebuild their lives after overcoming addiction.

James Conner, Chief Grants Officer for the Pulte Family Charitable Foundation, presented the gift to Her 2nd Chance at its annual Open House event on November 7th, 2024. “We are proud to continue supporting Her 2nd Chance and the incredible work they do to uplift women in the Palm Beach County community,” said Conner. “This donation reflects our ongoing commitment to helping organizations that embody compassion, social responsibility, and a commitment to positive transformation.”

For years, the Pulte Family Charitable Foundation has been a steadfast partner to Her 2nd Chance, greatly helping the organization further its impact. The foundation’s continued support has been instrumental in driving the success of the organization's three pillars to lasting change: paid training and employment at H2C’s e-commerce gift shops, the holistic Wellness Works program, and career mentorship through its Bridge to Employment program.

In 2023, PFCF supported an initiative to create supervisory roles, providing women at H2C with valuable opportunities for promotion and professional growth. Additionally, a recent $30,000 grant will allow two women in recovery to participate in H2C programs for an entire year. This time will enable women to re-establish a sense of purpose and self-esteem, build accountability and community, strengthen their recovery program, and prepare for their next employment opportunity.

“We are deeply grateful to the Pulte Family Charitable Foundation for their unwavering support and commitment to our mission,” said Erin Sabin, Executive Director of Her 2nd Chance. “Both the generous donation and grant award for 2024 will allow us to enhance our vital programs, ensuring that more women have the opportunities for a fresh start.”

Her 2nd Chance has worked tirelessly to help women in recovery rebuild their confidence, learn valuable skills, and gain the support they need to transition successfully into the workforce. This donation will benefit programs designed to equip women with the tools they need to thrive.

The organization looks forward to continuing to make a meaningful difference in the lives of women in recovery in Palm Beach County.
